With tourism continuing to be a steady sector of British Columbia’s economy, Nanaimo Youth Services Association’s Youth Employment Centre is hosting a workshop for unemployed youth on hospitality careers.

The workshop takes place Tuesday (July 19) and is open to  people between the ages of 15-30 who are unemployed and not a full-time student.

As tourism increases in Nanaimo, the hospitality and retail fields are growing to meet the expected demand for services.

Whether youth are selecting a career path, looking for a career change or wanting to get involved in tourism and hospitality, the three-day workshop will provide a variety of information, including a general introduction to the industry.
