One of the most recognized experts in the travel industry, Roger Brooks aims to inspire and empower people around the world to achieve their highest aspirations.
He is funny while sharing real-life stories, and providing steps, rules and ingredients – bottom line solutions – that everyone can implement immediately to make a positive difference tomorrow.
Brooks is one of the speakers set to appear at the State of the Island Economic Summit in Nanaimo Oct. 29-30.
Brooks began his career in the concert industry providing tour management services for international recording artists including The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Chicago, Earth Wind and Fire, and others, culminating in the famous Saturday Night Fever Tour with the Bee Gees.
From there he spent 10 years assisting in the development and marketing of acclaimed destination resorts including Whistler Resort; Harbour Town on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina; Sunriver Resort in Central Oregon, and several others.
Brooks has since worked with communities, states, provinces, national parks, and countries in their branding, product development and marketing efforts.
The summit will take place at Vancouver Island Conference Centre, and featuring another keynote address by Ferio Pugliese, president of WestJet Encore.
