Vancouver Island University athletics will spend some of the off-season helping to develop the next generation of athletes.
The VIU Mariners recently announced their coming slate of summer sports camps.
First up this year are boys’ basketball camps. There will be an elite shooting camp July 4-5, followed by a perimeter player development camp July 6-7. The camps go from 9 a.m.-noon at the Vancouver Island University gym and cost $60 each or $100 for all four days.
Girls’ basketball camp will be Aug. 14-18, followed by more boys’ basketball camps Aug. 21-25.
A co-ed soccer camp is set for Aug. 15-18.
Volleyball camps will be held for girls on Aug. 28-Sept. 1 and for boys from Aug. 28-31.
