The V.I. Raiders can look forward to kickoff now that the league has announced the 2017 schedule.

The B.C. Football Conference announced its schedule Thursday.

The Raiders will get the regular season started July 29 with a road game against the Langley Rams. V.I.’s home opener will be the following weekend with an Aug. 5 matchup against the defending provincial champions, the Westshore Rebels.

The Raiders will hold their spring camp May 5-7 at Nanaimo’s Merle Logan Field, led by new head coach Doug Hocking. Andrew Harris, running back for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and a Raiders alumnus, will be a guest coach at Raiders spring camp.
