Nanaimo Rowing Club athletes are already showing good form as another season has gotten underway.

The club sent a contingent to the Duelling Over a Grand Regatta at Victoria’s Elk Lake this past weekend and came up with a big win. The junior C quad of Michael Jonah-Bigg, Markus Jonah-Bigg, Megan Duifhuis and Shamus Inglis went undefeated, beating a crew from Gorge Narrows Rowing Club for first place.

Taking second at the regatta was Nanaimo’s junior men’s double of Cohen Inglis and Ethan Watchorn, as they fell to Brentwood in the final.

Jordan Isnor came within one win from reaching the final in junior women’s singles.

The club has room for new members; for information, please e-mail nanaimo.rowing@gmail.com.
