The Nanaimo Clippers got their pre-season started the right way.
The city’s B.C. Hockey League club defeated the Alberni Valley Bulldogs 4-1 on Saturday at Frank Crane Arena. Shots were 33-26 in favour of the home team.
Nanaimo visits the Cowichan Valley Capitals on Tuesday (Aug. 29) and hosts the Victoria Grizzlies on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Frank Crane.
The regular season starts with a home game against the Bulldogs on Sept. 8.
