The Nanaimo Buccaneers made two additions behind their bench for the coming season.
The city’s junior B hockey team, which previously hired new coach Curtis Toneff this off-season, announced two new assistant coaches: Christian Brandt and Riley Medves. The Bucs also announced that assistant coach Cam McCarrick will return to the staff.
Both Medves and Brandt are Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League alumni; Medves used to tend goal for the Bucs.
