Field lacrosse Raiders off to provincials
The Nanaimo Raiders U16 team didn’t win an Island championship, but it will have a chance to do one better.
The Raiders will turn their attention now toward upcoming provincials after losing to the North Island by a blowout score Saturday at Merle Logan Field in the Vancouver Island Youth Field Lacrosse League championship game.
The team had previously qualified for the B.C. Lacrosse Association provincial championships in Burnaby Feb. 22-24.
The U19 Raiders, Island champs, begin play at provincials this Friday (Feb. 15) in Langley.
