Old School wins basketball crown

Old School schooled the rest of the league on the basketball court this season. The team won Nanaimo’s King of the Court rec league championship Sunday, defeating the Monstars 62-59 at the Oliver Woods Community Centre.

Henry Bui led all scorers in the final with 24 points and added seven rebounds. His teammate Luke Letham had 17 points. For the Monstars, Jake Hayton led the way with 21 points and Jacob Geary had 10 points and 12 boards.
