Cedar 12K run goes Sunday

Nanaimo’s stop on the Frontrunners Island Race Series takes place this weekend.

The Bastion Running Club hosts the Cedar 12K on Sunday (Feb. 5) at 11 a.m. at North Cedar Intermediate School on Gould Road.

"The snow is gone and now is the time to look towards goal events in the spring. We are all motivated by different things to help us get out the door to go for a jog or a serious training run," said Cathy Noel, president of the Vancouver Island Runners’ Association, in a press release. “The … series has built up a community and family of participants, but they are always willing to adopt new runners. You will be missed if you aren't there."

Race-day registration costs $30-35. For more information, please click here.
