Nanaimo’s senior girls volleyball teams all won their share of rallies at provincials, but none return with medals.

The Cedar Spartans placed eighth at the senior A championships in Prince George, the Dover Bay Dolphins were 11th at AAAA provincials in North Vancouver and the Nanaimo District Islanders finished 12th at the AAA tournament in Parksville.

The Spartans gave themselves a chance, starting the week by finishing first in their pool. Cedar’s Alexa Ellis was a second-team all-star.

Dover finished its playoff run with a win over Point Grey.

NDSS ended with a loss against Isfeld.
