'Dawgs expect physical football game
The Barsby Bulldogs love to tackle, so this week’s playoff matchup suits them just fine.
John Barsby Community Secondary School’s AA varsity football team will take on Abbotsford Collegiate in the second round of the post-season on Friday (Nov. 18) at the University of British Columbia’s Thunderbird Stadium.
Barsby coach Rob Stevenson said Abby is a “super physical” team, and will have momentum, just like the ’Dawgs.
“The next team not only won the right to be in the playoffs, but they won a playoff game, so that’s a hot team,” Stevenson said.
The winner of Friday’s matchup advances to the provincial semifinals.
