M's basketball teams tip off tourney
Vancouver Island University’s basketball teams are getting closer to the tipoff of another season.
Right now they’re in preparation mode, with an exhibition tournament starting today (Oct. 13) at the VIU gym. All the action is at VIU except one game at Dover Bay Secondary School.
The first game tonight sees VIU's women's team play the Quest Kermodes at 8:30 p.m. at the VIU gym.
On Friday the Mariners women take on Capilano at 8 p.m. at Dover Bay while the VIU men take on a Seattle team at 8 p.m. at VIU.
Saturday the M's men face Capilano at 12:30 p.m.
