United plays friendly tonight

Nanaimo United will see how this year’s team is shaping up. The Div. 1 men’s Vancouver Island Soccer League club plays a friendly tonight (Sept. 1) against Cowichan at 8:30 p.m. at Merle Logan Field.

“There will be a lot of new faces to the team this year, so we are expecting growing pains until the players get used to each other in game situations,” said Allan Jorgensen, club manager, in a press release. "The players have worked hard over the last few month and that we are very proud of."
