Jr. Timbermen fall short against Shamrocks

The Nanaimo junior A Timbermen came up just short in an 11-10 B.C. Junior A Lacrosse League loss Thursday down the Malahat against rival Victoria Shamrocks.

Nanaimo drew first blood with a goal five minutes in, but Victoria scored five unanswered to end the first 5-2. Glenn Foley, Cody Bremner, Joey Fendick and Kyle Hofer all scored for the Timbermen.

GAME ON … The Timbermen host the Port Coquitlam Saints on Sunday at 5 p.m. at the NIC.
