Exhibition game with Shamrocks cancelled

The senior B Nanaimo DBL Timbermen won't get to test themselves against the senior A Victoria Shamrocks, after all.

Timbermen general manager Ken King said the Shamrocks cancelled on him Tuesday morning. The two lacrosse teams were slated to play an exhibition game this Saturday (May 14) at the Nanaimo Ice Centre.

"What they told me is they don't have enough players," King said.

The next game for the DBL Timbermen will be May 19 on the road against the Ladner Pioneers.
