Football MVPs spark bowl win

Local gridiron talent teamed up to deliver a Senior Bowl win on the weekend.
Players from the John Barsby Bulldogs and Nanaimo Redmen led Team West to a 21-14 win over Team East at the annual bowl game Saturday in Vancouver.
Redmen quarterback Nick Bynkoski was named Offensive Player of the game, while Barsby’s Jaxxen Wylie was Defensive Player of the game.
Also participating were Barsby’s Arthur Fabbro, Kevin Good and Sam Allen, and Football Nanaimo’s Taylor Saine and Cam Rossetto.
Wylie and Saine received awards for their efforts at the camp leading up to the Senior Bowl game.
