Eagles squad seeks sponsors

The Nanaimo Eagles, Vancouver Island’s only ice hockey team comprised of athletes with developmental disabilities, wants to show what it can do at an upcoming tournament.

The Eagles were invited to a tournament in Vernon next month, but need sponsorship to cover travel and accommodation.

“Most of the players have done a lot of practising, but have never had the chance to really play and proudly represent our community,” said Andy Reynolds, the team’s coach, in a press release.

For more information, please call Reynolds at 250-619-5545.
