Nanaimo’s economy not worth touting

To the Editor,

Re: Board paints positive economic picture for Nanaimo, July 8.

I’m getting that all-too-familiar case of political déjà vu, but now with a truckload of manure mixed in. Taxpayers are constantly being spoon-fed political medicine by the spin doctor, who reassures us that all will be OK, but the reality is it’s just the usual coloured-sugar medicine that does not work, but still somehow ends up costing us our money.
