Park purchase a shady deal

To the Editor,

Re: Parkland bought without public process, May 20.

Nanaimo is fortunate with our numerous parks and beautiful surrounding countryside. So why does the city buy lots more land for parkland at three times its assessed value, and why are they not telling us who were the lucky vendors getting our tax money? After all, there could just be a conflict of interest here.
