Low-income residents can use a LEAP card
To the Editor,
Re: Exercise costs are prohibitive, Letters, March 14.
If L.A. Jones is in a low-income bracket, he or she is eligible to receive a LEAP card that provides 50 free visits to the gym at Beban Park.
After that the costs are much cheaper.
I hope this is of some help. I don’t know why the costs went up twice to $5 for the gym.
That is a terrible cost increase and Nanaimo’s city council should do something about it.
