Re: Council approves $160,000 facelift for Centre Stage, March 14.
As much as I love theatre, the Nanaimo Centre Stage building was too old to begin with and council of the day erred in purchasing it.
It is indeed nothing but a black hole and council should not even consider spending more of the taxpayers money.
Perhaps we should consider tearing it down and then fundraise for a brand new venue.
Although more expensive in the long term, that is the only practical solution.
