Centre’s toilets should be open

Re: City aims to solve public urination with rest room, Jan. 17.
Porta-potties might well fit in with the rusty things at Diana Krall Plaza, but come on, it’s sad enough.
Open the public washrooms at the Vancouver Island Conference Centre near the mural entrance for an hour or so at closing time for the bars.
Station one cop inside and one in a car outside. It wouldn’t be much different than now, and we would be free of the smell of urine downtown.
The only problem I see is the centre’s management and its ‘not locals’ attitude.
