Outcry over basin needs to be heard

Re: Marina will lose its diversity, Letters, Jan. 7.
Dorothy Houghton makes some thoughtful points regarding the manner in which the proposed 30-year deal with a private company for the development of our waterfront area has been conducted, and why it seems that the Nanaimo Port Authority has not adequately maintained the docks under its jurisdiction.
We all need to stand up and be counted in this matter before it’s too late.
