Valuable funds wasted on logo
To the Editor,
Re: Logo designed to represent renewal, Jan. 31.
Whenever I look at the new logo for the Nanaimo school district, I will be reminded that $24,000 was spent on it.
I will be reminded the school trustees and the board of education does not listen to concerned parents. I will be reminded the system is broken and our children are being shafted.
When I think of the myriad of other things $24,000 could have been spent on that actually might have affected the children (art classes, science fairs, materials, school trips), it makes me want to cry.
It is a terrible logo for these reasons. Each blob on the fish cost about $1,140.
Not worth it, in my opinion.
