Railway update offers affordable alternative

To the Editor,

Re: Rail transportation thriving in many other countries, Energy Matters, April 16.

For a relative pittance compared to unnecessary highway overpasses and road widenings, the E&N Railway could be repaired and maintained.

People would certainly use it if the schedule was more convenient and trains more frequent, particularly if the train was part of an integrated transportation system allowing the flow of people and goods from one mode to another.
