Comment violates ideals of democracy
To the Editor,
Re: Effort to recall MLA continues, Feb. 5.
Regarding Ron Cantolon’s comment on the failed recall of Ida Chong as “a victory for democracy.”
If this is his view of how democracy should work – with all the obstructionist tactics his party has employed to delay and shift the debate – I say he has betrayed the ideals of true democracy and violated the public trust of the office he holds on the electorate’s behalf.
Shame on him for twisting, manipulating a fundamental Canadian value and belief.
