Re: Automated collection would raise garbage rates, June 15.
Garbage cans are an eyesore at the best of times and the new larger bins will only make the problem worse. Council should pass a bylaw making it illegal to have them visible from the street on non-garbage days. Otherwise some people will just leave them in front of their house or garage, at all times, turning neighbourhoods into junkyards. Who wants to look at their neighbour’s row of garbage cans?

I suppose one of these days the automated garbage trucks would even learn to drive themselves, thereby eliminating more jobs, causing higher unemployment, and higher taxes. What a waste of money. Not enthusiastic at all.
