William George Dawes
August 30, 1935 ~ August 23, 2009
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Bill on August 23, 2009. He was predeceased by his parents William and Alice and his sister Arlene.
Bill will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years, Jeannette; children: Doug (Christie), Dan (Trina), Bill (Jenny), Linda (Greg), Jim (Bev); grandchildren: Greg, Dustin, Tamara, Hayley, Michael, Matt and Kelina and 3 great grandchildren, brothers Jimmy (Carol), Jack (Mary) and sister Dorothy as well as special friends Ron (Dolores) Reimer and Archie (Sheila) Hanna.
Bill drove truck for Doman Marpole for 33 years. In his younger years he was a logger. He had many hobbies, coached minor hockey for a few years and enjoyed life to the fullest.
A special thanks to the care aids and nurses of Wexford Creek, especially, Pat, Rob, Colleen, Brittany, Meriam and Rosalee for their help and care of Bill for the last year.
There will be no funeral by request.
