Mitchell, Violet Muriel (nee Porter)
September 11, 1911 - December 4, 2009
Vi passed away surrounded by her loving family at Chemainus Health Care Centre - the same site where she was born. Predeceased by husband “Mitch” and brother Bob, she is survived by son, Jim Mitchell; daughter, Anne Williams; granddaughters: Sarah Kis-Toth, Heather Williams, Emily Smith and great- grandsons: Jaxson & Bailey Smith, Mitchell & Max Kis-Toth; also her sister, Kay and brother, Charlie.
Vi was a 1932 graduate of Royal Jubilee School of Nursing and a 1938 graduate of UBC School of Nursing. She was a dedicated and compassionate nurse, loving mother, cherished grandmother and beloved friend. The family wishes to recognize the entire staff of Chemainus Health Care Centre for their care these last few years.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday December 15, 2009 at 1:30 pm at St. Michaels & All Angels Anglican Church in Chemainus.
