LOREE, Violet Margaret Caroline
Passed away at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital on April 10, 2010. Born in Edson, Alberta on January 23, 1937, Violet lived most of her life in Nanaimo, working for many years serving early morning coffee at the Modern Cafe. She was predeceased by her parents, Jim and Mina Wright; her husband, Arthur Loree; and her son, Alfred Wilkinson.
She is survived by her brother, John (Mary) Wright; daughter, Ina (Dan) LaPointe; grandchildren: Andrea (Graham Wright) LaPointe, James LaPointe, Jules (Judy) Wilkinson, Paul (Carolyn) Wilkinson, Ashley (Jay) Del Mundo and Raymond Wilkinson; great grandchildren: Grace & Alexander Wright, Corbin Wilkinson and Makai Del Mundo.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of your choice. A private, family service will be held at a later date. We would like to thank the First Floor and Palliative Care nurses and staff of the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital for the care and respect shown to Violet.
