MORGAN, Thomas Henry

Thomas was born in Blackwood, South Wales on July 7, 1917. He passed away peacefully at the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital on April 9, 2006. Thomas became an electrician and when the Second World War came, he served for six years with the Royal Engineers of the British Army. He saw active duty and was a decorated war veteran. After careers with South Wales Switchgear and Alcan, he retired and emigrated to Canada to be close to his daughter and grandchildren. First he lived in Ajax, Ontario, then moved to Nanaimo, BC in 1993. Thomas is predeceased by his wife Alma and survived by daughter Gwyneth (Jorgensen), granddaughters Cerylan (Gagnon) and Bronwen (Field) and great-grandchildren Matthew, Megan and Abiona. Thomas was a Free Mason. In accordance to Thomas' wishes, no memorial service will be held. His cremated remains will be buried with those of his wife at the Pine Ridge Memorial Gardens in Ajax, Ontario.
