BARNEY,Terrence Lee

Sept. 29, 1939–Mar. 31, 2009

Terry passed away peacefully at home after a lengthy battle with cancer. Terry retired from long shoring after 37 years on the beach. He then took up fishing with a vengeance. Terry was highly regarded for his honesty, great spirit, cartoon drawings, his kindness, generosity, humour and dedication to his family. Terry is survived by his wife and best friend Sandra; their children Eric (Sylvia), Laura (Pierre), Peter (Angela) and Debbie; grandchildren (his precious little piggies) Carleigh, Paige, Brandy, Belle, Maddison, Tyler and Randy; brother Gordon, who was at the house every morning and his best friend Karl who cooked his bacon and eggs every morning for almost a year so Sandra could get a sleep in. He also leaves to mourn his passing his nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. He will be greeted at heaven’s door by his son Darcy, his dad and mom and in-laws Ernie and Nellie Strom. Terry’s last request was that there be no service because it would be too hard on his family.

“God saw you getting tired when a cure was not to be, He wrapped His arms around you and whispered ‘Come to me’. So keep your arms around him, Lord, and give him special care; make up for all his suffering and all that seemed unfair.”
