ROKEBY, Shirley Elsie
born October 10, 1931 died peacefully on November 2, 2004. She is survived by Noel Rokeby of Nanaimo, Ian and Barbara Rokeby (Sam and Simon) of New Westminster, Paul and Selena Rokeby (Alysia and Andrew) of Timmins, Susan and Ross Fuller (Sarah, Jesse Moreton, Daniel, Allison, Natalie, Carrie and James) of Dundalk, Ontario and Tom and Lisa Rokeby of Nanaimo. Shirley was a life member of Global Village Nanaimo, an active member of Woodgrove Senior Citizen Housing Society, worker for Cancer Society, the Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund and active in social justice issues. The family would like to thank Dr. Ron Dorsey, Dr. Sheila Souliere, Dr. Brian Kelvin and the nurses and staff of Nanaimo Regional General Hospital fifth floor. A Celebration of Shirley’s life will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 100 Chapel Street, Nanaimo on Saturday, November 6, 2004 at 11:00am. Friends invited for tea after. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Shirley’s memory to Canadian Cancer Society, Nanaimo Branch of Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund c/o St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Nanaimo.
