In Loving Memory
Shelly Colleen Fraser
December 12, 1953~February 9, 2010
Shelly slipped away peacefully at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital at about 6:00 p.m. at the young age of 56.
“She used to be my only enemy and never let me be free.
Catching me in places that I knew I shouldn’t be.
Every other day I crossed the line, I didn’t mean to be so bad.
I never thought you would become the friend I never had.
Back then I didn’t know why.
Why you were misunderstood.
So now I see through your eyes.
All that you did was love.
Mama I love you. Mama I care.
Mama I love you. Mama my friend. You’re my friend.”
She is survived by her daughters: Jessica and Lisa; their father Gary; other family members as well as the members of the Nanaimo Quilter’s Guild and the Nanaimo Hepatitis C Support Group.
A wonderful human being, mother and friend. She will be truly missed. “We love you so much Mom. When we close our eyes we will remember how you were and picture you fishing with your brother, sister and Dad.”
If you would like to send flowers please send them to plot #s78 Walking Woods C/O Cedar Memorial Gardens.
