Ronald James Morgan

Ron, the only child of James & Sarah (Babe) Morgan was born on August 12, 1930 in Mrs. McCree’s Nursing Home on Albert St. Nanaimo. He passed away April 15, 2010 at the Kiwanis Lodge, Nanaimo.

Ron is survived by his wife of 56 years, Angeline: son Michael and partner Cindy of Garibaldi; daughter, Christina Tickner and son-in-law Ed; grandchildren: Mahri and James, all of Comox. Ron is also survived by one uncle, William Morgan and numerous cousins.

At 16, Ron left school to work at the IXL Dairy. He then worked for Grey Bottling Co., and then J.P. Winemaster. He finished his career as Assistant Superintendent with Texaco Canada, at the age of 57.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Kiwanis Lodge who looked after Ron during the last 15 months of his life. Special thanks to Gina and the care givers, too numerous to mention.

At Ron’s request, there will be no funeral, flowers gratefully declined. If you wish, please make a donation to the Parkinson’s Society.
