Passed away suddenly Monday, August 18th, 2003 at the Nanaimo General Hospital at age 68 years. Born March 12, 1935 in Nanaimo, B.C. Predeceased by his father James Carson. Survived by his loving wife Jessie of 48 years, his mother Gladys of Nanaimo, daughters Cheryl (Steve), Charlotte, Teresa (Gordon), brothers Daryl (Barb), Ken, grandchildren Stephanie, Matthew, Hope and Jenna, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Ron was retired from BC Tel after 39 years of service, and a long standing member of the Concord Masonic Lodge #79 AF & AM. He loved fishing, hiking and travelling abroad as well as in their 5th wheel. Thanks to Dr. Jon Brighton for his care and friendship, and thanks to Dr.Alschler and the staff at Nanaimo General Hospital. A memorial service and celebration of fellowship was held on Friday, August 22nd, and the family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to “Masonic Lodge #79, c/o Mr. Bryan Lapp, 770 Ermineskin Road., Parksville, B.C. V9P 2L5
