WAKEFIELD, Ronald Henry (Ron)
December 20, 1923 ~ March 6, 2011
Ron was born at Nakusp, B.C. December 20, 1923 and passed away March 6, 2011 at Ladysmith, B.C. in his 87th year. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Joy; 3 sons: Philip (Valerie), Derek (Jane) and Robin; 7 grandchildren: Kyle, Logan (Lauren), Christopher, Brandon, Geoffrey, Marcus and Marissa; and 1 great grandson: Ryder.
Ron left a lasting legacy in the architectural community through his creativity, innovation and attention to detail. He loved the ocean, horses, dogs, racquet sports, photography and, of course, his family.
The family would like to thank the Staff at the Lodge on 4th in Ladysmith for the outstanding care given to Ron over the past 2 years.
At Ron’s request, there will not be a formal service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in Ron’s name, to the Asthma Society of Canada or the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
