Pesto, Robert Stephen (Bob)
November 1, 1921 - January 16, 2009
Robert Pesto passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on January 16, 2009. Beloved husband of Gail Pesto, loving father of Randy, Roddy, and Rick Pesto and step-children Rodney and Cindy Anderson. Robert was predeceased by his brother Al Pesto.
Robert served in the Royal Canadian Air Force in World War II. After serving in the War, he came to Vancouver where he worked in Automobile and Housing Development sales. Robert's favourite pastimes were golf, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. Denegri, Dr. Pereira, Dr. H. James and Dr. Rasalh, as well as the staff at Medical Day Care, Nanaimo Lab at Nanaimo Regional Hospital. We would also like to thank the caregivers from Homecare. A special thank you to Catherine Burkmar from Helpful Hands for the incredible care she had provided to Robert. Thank you to our family and friends for their support through the course of Robert's illness.
A celebration of his life was held January 24, 2009. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the B.C. Cancer Society.
