Klaws, Robert Clifford passed away peacefully June 13, 2009 at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital at the age of seventy four years. Born October 24, 1934 in Loon Lake, Saskatchewan. Predeceased by his parents Richard and Sophie Klaws, his spouse Laura Klaws (1979) and spouse Isabel Bickle (2005).
He is survived by his daughter and son in-law Diane Klaws and Cecil Bickle (Henry, Lonny, and Jeremy), daughter Susan Klaws (Harley, Wendy, and Lee), son and daughter in-law Edward Klaws and Norma Webster (Laura and Richard), step-daughter and spouse Kathy Bickle and Kurt Helgason (Ashley and Jordan), step-son Harry Bickle, and granddaughter and spouse Selina Bickle and Josh Shepherd (Asia and Preston). He will be sadly missed by everyone including his brother Bill Klaws and wife Karen, sister Alice Senger, many other relatives, great grandchildren, and numerous friends.
Bob’s generosity and kind heart were an inspiration to all who knew him. He lived his life with integrity and strong work ethic. He was a friend to everyone and his sense of humor would brighten any ones day.
A service will be held at Telfords Funeral Mortuary, 595 Townsite Road, Nanaimo, BC on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 10:30am. A Celebration of Life will follow with his family at 1950 Main Road in South Nanaimo.
