WILLIAMS, Peter Glynne
July 27, 1964 ~ February 10, 2010
Peter Glynne Williams lost his life on February 10, 2010 at the age of 45, with his family by his side. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Georgina; his parents: Joan and Mervyn Williams; his brothers: Patrick and Cym; and his sisters: Christine and Jennifer.
He was born July 27, 1964 in Vancouver, British Columbia. Peter’s early years were spent in Vancouver before moving to Nanaimo in his early teens. He graduated from Nanaimo District Senior Secondary and studied chemical engineering at the University of British Columbia. Peter then worked for Buckman Laboratories in the Pulp and Paper division and was a dedicated and well-respected employee for over 20 years.
Peter led a vibrant and active life. He loved boating, camping, water skiing and snowboarding. He liked to walk on the seawall and take long drives in his triumph TR6. He and Georgina enjoyed traveling and took trips to England, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Cuba and Costa Rica. Peter was known as being intelligent, fun loving, extremely humorous, and charming. His charismatic personality, kindness and generosity will be greatly missed by all the lives he touched.
Family, friends, and colleagues are welcome to attend a celebration of Peter’s life on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at 1:00 pm at Cottonwood Golf Club, 1975 Haslam Road, Nanaimo, BC.
