Finer, Peggy
Born on November 15, 1921 in Kent, England, died suddenly on March 26, 2004 in Nanaimo. She is survived by husband John Finer, daughters Marian Robinson and Janet Finer, grandchildren Shaun and Erin and nieces and nephews in Quebec and Spain. She served in the British Army ATS in England and Belgium and then in the British Control Commission in Germany before coming to Canada in 1947, where she lived and worked in Montreal until moving to Nanaimo in 1975. A Memorial service will be held at Sands Funeral Chapel at 1:30pm on Friday, April 2nd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Peggy’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
