WILSON – Olive

(nee Brown)

Born August 14, 1900 in Nanaimo. Daughter of Nanaimo pioneer James Miller Brown, first master of the Masonic Lodge. Died in her sleep March 23, 2006, in Maple Ridge, BC, aged 105. Predeceased by her husband Billy and son Doug. Survived by daughter Lorna and many family and friends.

Olive got great joy out of life and maintained an unwavering positive attitude. She did everything with enthusiasm, whether it was knitting 1200 vests for African babies, or playing bingo up until the week before her death She would happily remind everyone that “ positive thinking, daily exercise and eating healthy” were keys to a long life. Chocolate and sherry also contributed to her well being!

Olive loved life and at her request there will be no service. She will be missed by her old friends in Nanaimo and her new friends in Maple Ridge. She will live on in the eyes and smiles of her grandchildren and great grandchildren as we celebrate life everyday as she did.
