JOHNSTON, NORMAN ROY
SEPT. 30, 1924 – JAN. 8, 2009
This magnificent man, who lived a full life, with a passion for the outdoors, music, cooking and carpentry, passed away quickly and peacefully after a short battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife Faye, daughter Debbie (Bob) Brown, stepdaughters Kelly (Jack) Peters and Lee Bastian; grandchildren Cheryl (Kelly), Donna (Lee), Robert, Janna and Kyla; great-granddaughters Harmony, Savannah and Maggie and Al (Lil) Johnston, his only surviving sibling. He was predeceased by his mother, Florence, father, Lyman and brother, Howard, sister, Mary and son, David. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, January 17, 2009 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Buttertubs Hall in Nanaimo. Thanks to Dr. C. Forester and other doctors and staff of Palliative Care, Nanaimo Regional General Hospital.
