PALMER, Neil Irwin,
born April 29, 1920 in Keeler, Saskatchewan passed away peacefully at his home in Nanaimo, B.C. on August 22, 2002. Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife Mildred (Sis); his six children Jim Palmer, Chipman, Alta; Sharon Siebring, Duncan, B.C.; Ann Thomas, Parksville, B.C.; Wesley Palmer, Nanaimo, B.C.; Lloyd Palmer, Cedar, B.C.; Barbara Palmer, Nanaimo, B.C.; and their spouses; eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren - all of whom he adored. Three sisters and many brothers and sister in-laws,nieces and nephews also survive Neil. During WWII, Neil served in the Canadian Armored Corps Inborden, Ontario. Upon his release from the Army, he returned to Saskatchwan where he and Mildred were married and settled in Marquis to raise their family. He then moved the family to Keeler where he ran the BA service station. Then, in 1962, to Kindersley where he was a dealer for Massey Ferguson. In 1969, he moved to Nanaimo where he worked at Harmac in the #3 woodroom until his retiredment in 1985. His happiest hours were spent doing what he loved most - fishing at Telegraph Cove with family and friends.
