Hastings, Nan (Waddy)
1930 ~ 2010
Predeceased by her husband Bill Hastings, survived by her family: son Trevor, daughter Terri (Gary) grandsons Wade, Andrew (Rhian) and Tim (Holly). Her siblings: sister Joan Grant-Goode and brother Jack Waddy.
Also her close companion a very, very sad Bob Pearson. Nan became “our Nan” and so much a part of the Pearson family. Nan’s loss will leave a big empty space.
All of us will miss Nan. Her marvellous sense of humour - her compassion and her love of life. Nan was born and raised North Van and graduated from NVHS in 1947. She lived in a number of BC communities and laterly lived in Parksville where she nursed her husband Bill through the many years of his illness. We would like to sincerely thank the staff and volunteers of the Paliative Unit of Lions Gate Hospital with very special appreciation for Dr. Paul Sugar.
A memorial service for Nan will be held at the Hollyburn Funeral Home, 1807 Marine Dr. West Vancouver on Saturday, June 26 at 2 p.m.
