Murray Armstrong Boas
December 11, 1938 to October 4, 2006
Murray was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He served 22 years in the Canadian Armed Forces, serving on various bases throughout Canada, finally settling in Nanaimo in 1979.
Murray was always active in the sporting activities and teams that his children and grandchildren were involved in and seldom missed a game.
An avid woodworker, he was always working on a project in his workshop (not always finishing them).
Survived by his wife Jill of 45 years, four children and ten grandchildren: Randy, Leanne, Nichele and Calvin Boas; Sandra Bernie, Nicole, Katie and Eric Landry; Gary, Janine, Hannah, Madelin and Grace Boas; Brian, Traci, Mackenzie and Matthew Boas.
A Celebration of his life will be held Friday, October 13th, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. #1720 Bowen, First Memorial Funeral Chapel. Donations can be made to NRGH or Nanaimo Minor Lacrosse. Murray will be missed by family and friends.
