WINTER, Muriel Ann


Passed away on Friday, August 7th, 2009 in the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. Born in Edmonton, Alberta on August 25th, 1928, age 80 years. Predeceased by her husband Gordon, son James and grandson Nicholas all in 1985. Survived by her loving children; son, Geoff of Ladysmith, BC; daughter Dorothy (Rick) Marcotte of Port Hardy, BC; grandchildren, Chris, Gordon, Jake, Candice, and three great grandchildren. Mrs. Winter was a retired school teacher in Ladysmith, was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and an active member of St. John’s Anglican Church. A loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Her memory will be cherished in the hearts of all those lives she touched.

Memorial Service will be held in the St. John’s Anglican Church, 309 Buller Street, Ladysmith, BC on Tuesday, August 18th, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. Reverend Brian Wood, officiating. In memory of Mrs. Winter those so desiring may make donation to the BC Heart & Stroke Foundation #107 – 1001 Cloverdale Avenue Victoria, BC V8X 4C9
