O’Connell, Mary (Rice/Jones)
Born November 5,1931 in New Westminster, BC passed away January 26, 2006 in Nanaimo, BC. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of mom. She is survived by her six children; Marilyn (Lloyd) McDonald, Sharon, Cynthia, Craig (Shelley), Brian, Shirley Jones; and extended family Laurie, Brenda & Danny; twelve grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. The family wishes to thank all those who helped mom through her years of struggling with P.S.P., Nanaimo Seniors Village, and a very special thanks to her personal caregivers for their dedication and compassion. A family service was held at First Memorial Funeral Service on Wednesday at 2:00pm. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations in Mary’s memory may be made to the Progressive Supra-nuclear Palsy Society.
