Marvin will be remembered for his compassion, generosity and wisdom, and his ongoing work for peace. He was an active supporter of the Georgia Strait Alliance, the Nanoose Conversion Campaign, the Council of Canadians, Veterans Against Nuclear Arms (VANA), United for Peace, and Justice and The Communist Party of Canada. Marvin also supported Veterans for Peace (USA), Pastors for Peace, The David Suzuki Foundation and Greenpeace.
He is survived by his loving partner Grace Tickson; sons: Peter, John and Moses; daughters: Lisa and Gretchen; twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren, other family and very special friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at Bowen Park Auditorium
